We are looking for experienced Frontend Engineers to join our client’s growing office in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Technology
They like to build our webapps using React/Redux with Python on the backend but are always open to new ideas and approaches. Technology stack is progressive, and developer led: OpenStack servers, Kubernetes for container orchestration, Prometheus, Loki and the ELK stack for metrics, logs and monitoring. They use Jenkins to build and testing the code. They use Slack for messaging and the developers have a choice between MacBooks or Windows laptops for hardware.
What you’ll do
- Tackle the complex problem of building frontends that balance usability with data density
- Collaborating with our engineering teams in London and Boston to build, design and deploy tools for our portfolio managers, researchers and risk managers
- Work through all phases of development and design
- Gather feedback from end users and help solve their problems
- Improve, maintain and drive forward our existing tools
- Establish good UI/UX best practises across Alpha Tech
Who are you?
- You have deep knowledge of modern web development using Typescript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- You have a proficiency in at least one JavaScript Framework such as React, Vue.js, Angular or similar
- You can design and build web interfaces with a high information density, fast and frequent updates and/or complex visualizations.
- You are a great communicator and good at working remotely with others
- Having some experience further up the stack (especially with Python) is advantageous
