About the Role
We are partnering with a global payments and financial technology company that is expanding its engineering presence in Bulgaria. As part of this growth, we are looking for a Senior DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer to join a highly skilled technical team supporting mission-critical card issuing and payment processing platforms used across Europe.
This role sits at the intersection of production support, reliability engineering, and platform evolution. Initially, you will focus on ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of an established UK-based platform. Over time, the role will naturally evolve towards supporting a new global platform, with increasing exposure to SRE practices, automation, and scalability challenges.
What You’ll Be Doing

Own and manage production support tickets end-to-end (triage, investigation, resolution, and closure) using Jira.

Monitor system health, performance, and reliability using observability tools such as Grafana and log management platforms.

Investigate and resolve complex production issues in collaboration with Development and Infrastructure teams.

Perform root cause analysis and contribute to long-term stability improvements.

Implement non-code fixes and validate production changes to ensure system reliability.

Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements within application support workflows.

Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and best practices in Confluence.

Gradually contribute to broader SRE and platform reliability initiatives as the global platform evolves.
What We’re Looking For

Strong experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or senior production/application support roles.

Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Grafana, log analysis).

Ability to work confidently with logs, including Regex for pattern detection and troubleshooting.

Solid understanding of incident management, ITIL processes, and DevOps practices.

Experience troubleshooting cloud-based applications, ideally in Microsoft Azure.

Good working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server).

Experience debugging applications and APIs (Postman). .NET debugging experience is a strong advantage.

Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.

Background in financial services, payments, or other business-critical systems is a plus, but not mandatory.

Strong analytical mindset, ownership, and calm approach when working under pressure.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
