For our client, a European technology and consulting company delivering next-generation digital transformation and cloud services, we are looking for a Desktop Engineer to join their Digital Solutions & End-User Computing Team.
You will be responsible for the stability, automation, and continuous improvement of the Windows 11 desktop platform in a large enterprise environment, with a strong focus on PowerShell scripting and modern workplace technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and optimize Windows 11 client environments and Microsoft 365 services.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, troubleshooting, and operational efficiency.
- Perform advanced Windows debugging and incident resolution, including driver and kernel-level issues.
- Manage OS deployment (OSD), imaging, and provisioning processes.
- Administer Entra ID / Active Directory, including GPOs and configuration profiles.
- Collaborate with global IT teams on incident response and platform improvements.
- Document incidents, root cause analyses, and solutions.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Strong, hands-on PowerShell scripting experience (mandatory).
- Solid experience with Windows 11 in enterprise environments.
- Experience with SCCM / Intune.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and modern browsers.
- Experience with Entra ID / Active Directory and Group Policies.
- Understanding of Windows internals and desktop platform engineering.
- Good English communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Basic experience or exposure to C#.
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS).
- Familiarity with ITIL or service management practices.
**Strong PowerShell expertise is essential. C# is not required at an advanced level — learning and development are supported.
