For our client – a fast-growing Canadian telecommunications company, we are looking for a Finance Team Leader with German.
Job responsibilities:
• Manage an accounting team and support the team members’ day-to-day tasks and operations,
as well as their professional and personal development
• Responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of accounting information as well as the
analytical review of business development
• Perform month-end account closing activities and reconciliations
• Oversee GL balance accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulation
• Oversee the recording and validation of journal entries, ensuring they are accurate and in compliance with the accounting standards
• Prepare local GAAP accounts as of year-end
• Main point of contact for auditors and stakeholders in Germany
• Improve the current processes within the accounting department, create and establish new
ones in the time of integration between two companies
• Support the ERP migration where necessary
• Provide ad-hoc reports
as well as their professional and personal development

Job requirements:
• University degree in Accounting, ACCA/CIMA qualified or currently studying for ACCA/CIMA will
be considered advantage
• Familiar with the relevant Tax requirements;
• German GAAP knowledge will be considered an advantage
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting
• SAP, MS Office (advanced Excel skills)
• At least 2 years of leadership and management experience
• Proficient English Language Skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent German Language skills (written and verbal)
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Excellent Networking and Communication Skills
• Customer orientation
