Global Enterprise Risk Manager

For our client, an international company operating in the payments and financial technology sector, we are seeking a Global Enterprise Risk Manager to join their team in Sofia.

In this role you will be responsible for translating the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERM) into scalable, automated processes within the GRC system. You will work closely with risk, technology and business teams to ensure risk governance processes, policy obligations and regulatory requirements are effectively embedded into the platform.

The position operates within the Second Line of Defense and plays a key role in strengthening the organization’s overall risk management maturity through structured data, automation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the functional owner of the Jira GRC platform within the Enterprise Risk team
• Configure, optimize and maintain GRC modules and workflows
• Design and implement workflows supporting:
– enterprise risk assessments and risk register management
– control libraries, control mapping and attestations
– issue and remediation tracking
– incident management integrations (where applicable)
• Maintain system integrity, including user roles, permissions and data quality

Enterprise Risk Management Enablement
• Translate ERM framework requirements into scalable tool-based processes
• Embed risk scoring methodologies and risk taxonomy into Jira GRC workflows
• Ensure clear linkages between risks, controls, incidents, issues, KRIs and action plans
• Support the development of consistent risk governance practices across the organization

Reporting & Risk Insights
• Develop dashboards and reporting within the GRC platform
• Support the definition and monitoring of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
• Provide data-driven insights to support risk analysis and decision making

Regulatory & Compliance Support
• Support regulatory reporting requirements through the GRC system
• Ensure proper documentation and evidence collection for compliance purposes

Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve risk processes through automation and streamlined workflows
• Maintain documentation of system configuration, workflows and process guidelines
• Support broader initiatives related to the organization’s risk transformation and governance framework

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with Jira GRC, including workflow configuration and administration – essential
• Strong understanding of Enterprise Risk Management frameworks and risk governance
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies and risk & control mapping
• Ability to translate policies and regulatory requirements into system-enabled processes
• Experience with AI-enabled tools for governance, compliance, or workflow automation – considered an advantage
• Excellent English communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced fintech/payments environment
