We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client’s team in Sofia!
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the correctness of the G/L entries in compliance with the Company’s Financial Reporting Guidelines as well as local GAAP requirements
- Mentor and assign tasks to an offshore accounting team
- Prepare and validate accounting and reporting data for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing
- Identify and resolve General Ledger problems within their specific area of assignment including balance sheet reconciliations
- Act as a subject matter expert within the Accounting team and as a second line of escalation for queries related to all accounting processes
- A high level of interaction with different teams within the Shared Service Center (SSC) and company Departments
- Provide accounting advice and guidance to other departments like Order Processing, Controlling, etc.
- Work tightly with the Team Leader in any areas of support
- Provide year-end audit support
Requirements:
- University degree in accounting or equivalent education
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Accounting
- Fluent German and English Language Skills; Written/Verbal required
- SAP, MS Office (advanced Excel skills)
- Strong SAP FI/CO experience would be considered as advantage
- Experience with Blackline would be considered an advantage
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Customer-oriented
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines required
- ACCA/CIMA would be considered an advantage
