Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements, budget performance, and interim grant financial reporting.
• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Maintain and monitor the company’s internal control systems.
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• English proficiency at C1 level (Italian language skills are a bonus).
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Self-driven and proactive person, with the ability to manage their tasks and time independently.
• Open to a long-term relationship with the company.
